Army 2019: Remdiesel displays Typhoon with remotely controlled module


Remdiesel Company will display at Army-2019 forum protected vehicles of Typhoon and Tornado family. A Typhoon with remotely controlled combat module will debut, the company told Mil.Press FlotProm.

Remdiesel will display Typhoon K-53949 with a 12.7mm remotely controlled machinegun. It is preparing for batch supplies to the troops.

Typhoon-VDV is a frameless armored single-compartment automobile with 4x4 wheel alignment. It can be airdropped and has a high protection level. Final acceptance trials are to be completed in December.

"The hull design decreased the weight and size of the vehicle and increased cross-country and carrying capacity and the ability to carry major weapons and other systems," the company said.

Remdiesel will display K-4386 option with 30mm Burevestnik remotely controlled gun. It is a development of Typhoon K-53949. The display will also feature a medical vehicle on K-53949 base. It was accepted into service in 2019 to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.
