Russian Company Kalashnikov presents concept of engineer robot at Army-2018


At the international Military Technical forum Army-2018, the Russian Company Kalashnikov Group presented a concept of a controllable bipedal complex. The promising goal of using the anthropomorphic complex is to solve engineering and combat tasks. The further development of technologies will be demonstrated at the next forum.

"Kalashnikov Concern has presented at the Army-2018 forum its concept of a controlled upright moving system. The prospective function of this anthropomorphic complex is solution of engineering tasks," a source at the concern said.

The Kalashnikov press-service specified to TASS that at the next Army forum they would present an operating prototype capable of moving. The vehicle is designed for handling both engineering and combat tasks," the press-service noted.

The vehicle consists of a cabin for the driver mounted on a biped chassis. The robot has two remotely controlled manipulator arms. According to a video footage presented by the company, the vehicle will measure 4 meters in height.
