Army-2016: KPE highlights locally made Arlan 4x4 multirole armoured vehicle
Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering's Arlan 4x4 multirole armoured vehicle made is second public appearance at Army-2016 exhibition in Russia. A new variant of Paramount Group's Marauder, Arlan is built for winter conditions and snow. It was designed and developed after extensive collaboration with the Kazakhstan military and rigorous trials to meet the Kazakhstan military’s specific operational requirements.

The locally made Arlan was unveiled at the KADEX 2016 and the first vehicles have been delivered to the Kazakhstan Army in August 2016.

The Arlan is an armoured personnel carrier vehicle of the category of MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected). The Arlan is designed to carry a crew of 2 in the front plus 8 fully equipped soldiers in the rear. it can be configured as a simple wheeled personnel carrier or as an effective combat vehicle by the addition of a heavy machine gun mounted in a variety of turrets. The armoured personnel carrier variant showcased at Army-2016 can be fitted with Aselsan's SARP remote-controlled weapon station.

In addition to its excellent blast protection, Arlan is fitted with a double-skinned hull throughout the cabin and crew compartment to protect against kinetic attack up to STANAG 4569 Level 3. Extra armor can also be added if it is necessary to protect against a specific threat.

The Arlan armoured vehicle has a maximum road speed of 100km/h and can travel up to a distance of 700km.
