Techimpex's new Light Tactical Vehicle appears at Arms and Security 2017


At Arms and Security 2017 defence exhibition and forum, being held in Kiev from Oct. 10-13, the Ukrainian vehicle manufacturer Techimpex (TEI) is showcasing for the first time a new ultra light tactical vehicle, the LTA Light Tactical Vehicle.

TEI developed the LTA in line with the joint decision of the State Border Control Service of Ukraine for the following missions: reconnaissance, SPECOPS, fire support, logistic, medevac, command and control, and patrolling.

The LTA has a gross weight of 1,270 kg, and can carry a crew of four. The vehicle’s winch is able to haul a up to 2,5 t vehicle. The vehicle is based on a 4x2 wheel arrangement.

The LTA is powered by a 2,0l, four-stroke 4-cylinder diesel turbocharged engine with a power output of 240 hp, giving the vehicle a cruising range of 570 km and a maximum speed of 130 km/h.

Techimpex's new LTA can be equipped with a 12,7 mm DSHKM machingun; a 7,62 mm PKM machinegun; a 30 mm AGS-17 AGL; or a 40 mm UAG-40 AGL. It also features a Motorola DM-460 radio communication system.
