NATO’s multinational battlegroup in Lithuania began exercise Eager Leopard in Pabrade on Wednesday, 17 April 2019. The exercise mobilises around 650 troops, including Czech, Dutch, German and Norwegian forces. It provides an opportunity for the battlegroup to enhance its readiness, testing its ability to deploy troops and equipment.

The Singapore Army and the Indian Army participated in Exercise Bold Kurukshetra, a bilateral armour exercise. This year's exercise was held from 2 to 13 Apr at Babina Field Firing Range in Central India, and is the twelfth in the series. The exercise involved approximately 270 soldiers from the Singapore and Indian armies. As part of the exercise, the two armies participated in integrated maneuvers, exercise planning and training.

On April 12, 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense issued PT Pindad a contract worth $ 80 million for the production of the first 22 Pandur II series 8x8 infantry fighting vehicles that received the Indonesian designation Cobra. The vehicles must be delivered to the Indonesian army within three years and will reportedly be equipped with the Israeli remote-controlled uninhabited combat module Elbit Systems U30MK.II, which Ares (Elbit Systems Brazilian) will supply with a Northrop Grumman Bushmaster Mk.44 30mm automatic gun and two 7.62mm machine guns.

At the end of several rounds of tendering and trials since the beginning of the last decade, the Israeli company Elbit Systems has won the Indian Army’s 155 mm/52 calibre towed artillery gun competition, of which the import content alone is valued at over $ 1 Billion. An interagency committee has finished the checking of the terms of reference for the Udav pistol that has been developed by the design bureau Tsiitochmash (a subsidiary of the state corporation Rostec). The 9 mm semi-automatic handgun has been cleared for serial production, the press department of Rostec said in a statement.

The Bastion 4x4 APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) vehicle manufactured by the French Company ARQUUS is now in service with armed forces of Senegal. On 27 March, In Bordeaux (France), MBDA and ALPhANOV inaugurated their common Vulnerability Test Facility (VTF). MBDA is a world leader in missile systems offering a comprehensive international product range incorporating today's most advanced innovations. ALPhANOV was built, from its inception, on experience in micro-machining developed by laser platform applications Aquitaine (PALA), which depends on the CELIA laboratory and was implemented by François SALIN.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command has placed an order from global vehicle solutions provider AM General for 648 M997A3 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Ambulances, valued at $185 million. The M997A3 is an ambulance configuration of the HMMWV family. Equipped with advanced armor protection, these combat ambulances were built to reliably transport causalities from the battlefield to medical aid stations.

Lockheed Martin Corp. Missiles and Fire Control, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $2,457,390,566 modification (P00015) to a previously-awarded contract HQ0147-17-C-0032 for the production of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors and associated one-shot devices to support the U.S. government (USG) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case requirements.

Russia`s defense contractor Bazalt (a subsidiary of the Rostec’s Concern Tecmash) has detailed its DP-64 45 mm counter-sabotage grenade launcher. "The DP-64 grenade launcher can be used by both naval ships and civil vessels, including during counter-piracy operations. Owing to an active scheme of functioning, the weapon features a locked breech end. The launcher produces almost no noise," said a spokesperson for Bazalt.
