"This is a unique artillery system. It is the future of artillery. Only two armies all over the world have systems of the kind. It is a competitive product, and I hope that it will enjoy huge exportability after it has passed its tests and been fielded with our army," Borisov said on a visit to the Uraltransmash plant.

He noted that the percentage of advanced weaponry in the Russian Army’s inventory has stood at about 39% to date and was expected to hit at least 70% by year-end 2020.

"Actually, the defense procurement program’s segment pertinent to artillery armament delivery and repair has grown by several times in recent years - demand is huge," Borisov.
