During the Turkish arms exhibition IDEF'13, Turkey and Indonesia agreed to jointly develop medium tanks. Under the deal, Ankara-based, privately owned armored vehicles maker FNSS Defence Systems had to work with Indonesia’s state-owned arms maker, PT Pindad. On April 16, 2015, PT Pindad announced two prototypes for 2015. A first model was unveiled during Armored Vehicle Asia (AVA) Conference 2015.

Norway launches the modernization of its armed forces and plans to create modern air defense
 
The Norwegian Army announced on Friday, April 24, 2015, its largest modernization since the 1940s, as well as the establishment of a new and modern air defense system. Norway needs to boost manpower and increase funding for advanced defense systems and equipment to pose a credible deterrent to Russia's growing military presence in the High North, according to the Norwegian Armed Forces' (NAF) 2014 Annual Report.

Thales Australia has strengthened its support to the Australian Defence Force with the opening of a new facility in Townsville, Queensland. To compensate the removal of heavy equipment from Europe, The U.S. House Committee on Armed Services, a standing committee of the United States House of Representatives responsible for funding and oversight of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the United States armed forces, propose to upgrade the lethality of current Stryker Combat Vehicle. This proposition has been released for the Fiscal Year 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Within 15 months after contract award Rheinmetall has produced state-of-the-art driving simulator and gunnery simulator systems for training Indonesian Leopard 2 personnel. The order is worth several million euros. The Leopard Gunnery Skills Trainer (LGST) and Driver Training Simulator (DTS) are specifically designed for training Leopard 2A4 tank crews, and will primarily be used for sharpening the gunnery and combat skills of commanders, gunners and drivers.

U.S. and German Soldiers teamed up to kick off a bilateral training exercise Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Germany as part of Atlantic Resolve. Operation Freedom Shock, which is scheduled to run through April 28, includes troops from 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, and the German 2nd Mechanized Battalion in order to increase training interoperability readiness between German and U.S. armored forces.

Poland has announced a deal to buy US-made Patriot surface-to-air defense missile system designed and manufactured by the Company Raytheon. Raytheon's Global Patriot Solutions provide 13 countries, including five NATO nations around the globe with its air defense system.
