The Central Military District of the Russian armed forces received within the implementation of the State Defence Order over 30 new all-wheel-drive vehicles UAZ-3163 “Patriot” equipped with automatic transmission and block heaters.

The new vehicle UAZ-3163 replaces the former one UAZ-3151. At the present time, the vehicles are being registered in the military automobile inspection.
The UAZ- 3163 is offroad vehicle of classic design. Closed metal bodywork is assembled to solid chassis with special flexible mounts, which allows chassis to adapt to shape of the terrain. The vehicle is equipped with two rigid axles, which contributes to uncompleted toughness and long lifetime with keeping the service costs low. Because of very high capacity weight, rear springs are leaf type, front are on the other hand coil type, because of comfort during the ride. Power steering and power brakes are of course available, power brakes are equipped with load-dependent brake force proportioning device. The vehicles have gasoline-powered engines of 128 horsepower. The curb weight is 2,1 tons, payload is 0,5 tons. It is capable of carrying up to 9 persons. The max. speed of the vehicle is 150 km/h. |
