Army of India on Monday, April 7, 2014, successfully test fired an advanced version of 290 km range supersonic cruise missile BrahMos as part of a user trial at Pokhran test range in Rajasthan. The missile was launched by a mobile autonomous launcher deployed in full configuration with mobile command post at the ranges.

Turkish defense industry exports increased by 20 percent in January-March period reaching US$322 million, according to a national association of exporters. Japan has ordered four Bushmaster 4x4 armoured vehicles from Thales Australia
 

The Japanese Ministry of Defence has ordered four Bushmaster 4x4 armoured vehicles for deployment with the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF). The vehicles, all troop carrier variants, will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Bendigo, Victoria in Australia, for delivery in late 2014.

Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Princess of Kingdom of Thailand, accompanied by Thai Army Chief Prayut Chan-O-Cha, visited Sakeav polygon (Thailand), where the examination of weaponry and vehicles of Thai Royal Army was carried out. Among the samples of military vehicles the newest BTR-3E1 8x8 armored personnel carriers and Oplot tanks of Ukrainian production were presented in Thai Army.

Rheinmetall of Germany to supply Norway with new military trucks for logistics use
 

Rheinmetall AG of Düsseldorf has just won another major order for military wheeled vehicles. The Norwegian armed forces will soon be taking delivery of a large number of logistical vehicles made by Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV). RMMV is a joint venture with Rheinmetall AG holding 51% and MAN Truck&Bus AG holding 49%.

South Korea has conducted last week, successfully launching of a new ballistic missile capable of striking most of North Korea, its Ministry of National Defense said on Friday, April 4, 2014. The new missile has a range of 500 km and a payload of 1,000 kg , was launched on March 23 from a test site in Taean, a coastal town 110 km southwest of Seoul.

South Korea to purchase advanced surveillance radar to detect drone launched by North Korea
 

South Korea was reportedly considering purchasing advanced surveillance radar to spot small- sized, low-flying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) dispatched from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The South Korean news agency Yonhap, citing a military official, reported that the military was mulling acquiring the low-altitude surveillance radar from overseas as it failed to detect several unmanned aircrafts deployed by the DPRK recently.
