Description
The SCOUT SV is a program for the British Army to provide a new generation of light tracked armored vehicles. The Scout SV program is led by the Company General Dynamics UK to replace the CVRT (light armored vehicle) fleet of the British Army. The Scout SV Repair also called Apollo is one of two Equipment Support variants of the Scout SV family to be used in a complementary manner to deliver a coherent capability. The Equipment Support Repair will be used to tow battlefield damaged vehicles and lift heavy subassemblies. When required, it can tow a high mobility trailer containing main assemblies enabling battlefield repair tasks. Its lifting capability allows full power pack replacement and has the unique ability to self-repair by changing its power pack.

Armament
The Scout SV repair is fitted with a remote weapon station mounted on the top of the hull, which can be armed with a 12.7mm machine gun. The turret is also equipped with day/night sight equipment to fire on the move.
Design and protection
Scout SV Repair has the same protection level as all variants of the Scout SV vehicle family. The hull of the Scout SV Repair is based on modular armor to protect the crew against the firing of small arms and shell splinters. A crane is mounted on the center of the top hull.
Mobility
The Scout SV Repair is motorized with a 600kW Diesel engine coupled to an automatic transmission. The torsion bar suspension on each side consists of seven dual rubber-tired road wheels with the drive sprocket at the front and idler at the rear. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 70 km with a maximum cruising range of 500 km. The Scout SV Repair is able to negotiate slopes up to 60%, natural and engineered trenches of 2.5m maximum, and vertical obstacles of 0.75m.

Standard equipment of Scout SV Repair includes also mobile camouflage system, fire detection system, electronic countermeasure system, and NBC protection system.
