Azerbaijan defense industry presents several new military and security products at ADEX 2016.
Azerbaijan defense Industry presents a full range of new military equipment at ADEX 2016, the 2nd Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition. During this edition of ADEX, Military-Technical Cooperation Department (MODIAR) of Azerbaijan has unveiled many new equipment including armoured vehicles, small weapons, drones and ammunitions.
     
     
The domestic defence industry will be represented by a national pavilion of Azerbaijan, where the enterprises of the Ministry of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan will demonstrate different kinds of defence products and special-purpose weapons and ammunition.
 

During his visit to ADEX 2016, Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said, “Ministry of Defense Industry cooperates with military industry authorities of 45 countries,”.

“The facilities in the country have been renovated, and the world’s leading companies bring their technologies to Azerbaijan thanks to this. And these technologies pave the way for the manufacture of defense products.”

The Minister also highlighted the production of Zerbe drones by Azerbaijan. “We have already received hundreds of orders for this drone,” Jamalov added.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry is presenting over 260 types of defense products and special-purpose weapons and ammunition at the exhibition.

During ADEX 2016, Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Ministry has unveiled two new types of local-made sniper rifles , the NST and the Vashaq.

The Military-Technical Cooperation Department (MODIAR) of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry also introduced a local variant of the Caprivi Mk1 4x4 mine-resistant ambush protected armored personnel vehicle dubbed “iLDIRIM”.
