IAG presents for the first time in Africa its new Sentry light 4x4 APC Armoured Personnel Carrier.
At AAD 2014, Africa Aerospace and Defense Exhibition in South Africa, the Company IAG presents for the first time in the region its new light armoured vehicle personnel carrier called Sentry. International Armored Group is a premium vehicle armoring company experienced in the fields of engineering, prototyping and manufacturing of armored cars, armored trucks and other armored commercial vehicles.

Since 1984, the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series has consistently proven to be one of the strongest, most off-road capable vehicle platforms in the world. Building upon this chassis, the IAG SENTRY APC is the smallest, lightest & most off-road capable tactical vehicle designed and manufactured by the Company IAG.

The Sentry APC is the latest addition to IAG’s growing fleet of armored tactical vehicles. The Sentry is a light-weight armored personnel carrier specifically designed for border patrol and reconnaissance missions.

Its high mobility, great manoeuvrability and survivability make it ideal for both highly dense urban settings, as well as rural theatres. With a selection of diesel and patrol engines, available in both LHD and RHD configurations, this highly versatile APC can be used globally.

The vehicle floor has been designed as a "V-hull" made of high strength certified steel to mitigate blast forces. This protective floor also increases the structural rigidity of the platform, preventing the chassis from twisting or bending during heavy off-road use.

The Sentry APC provides vehicle protection levels ranging from CEN B4/B4+ (AK-47 protection) up to CEN B6 (7.62 x 51mm protection).

The IAG Sentry APC can be custom configured to meet any mission requirement. An open top turret can be mounted on top of the standard roof escape hatch. Various gun mounts can be installed upon request. A 360° degree camera system can be installed providing situational awareness including IR and Thermal Imaging capabilities. A large control screen allows the operator to zoom in on an object or switch from day to night mode. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with bench storage for tools and equipment.
