The
most big exercise army exercise for the Belgian Army, from
the 23 September 2005 to the 05 October 2005. This operation,
particularly important, implied nearly 6000 men, several
hundred armoured and light vehicles and several planes of
all types. This exercise consisted of a deployment of the
type Nato Response Force, followed of another type High
Readiness Task force, the will was to test the capacity
of deployment and action of the various units of the various
components implied in the scenario. The magazine Army Recognition

Menu M30 GMLRS
makes its operational debut as US Army ramps up full-rate production
The contract
for the next tranche of 1,026 M30 GMLRS (Guided Multiple
Launch Rocket System) GPS-guided rockets is expected to
be placed with prime contractor Lockheed Martin in December
2005, following receipt of full-rate production approval
from the US Army in June. The Guided Unitary Rocket M30
is fired from both the M270A1 and the HIMARS Launcher. The
M30 GLMRS rocket uses a guidance system with an IMU (Inertial
Measurement Unit) and a GPS receiver, and has four small
additional control fins in the nose. Range 60 km. 09 November 2005

At the
recent Defence Systems & Equipment International exhibition
in London, Rafael showed an upgraded version of the British
Army FV432 armoured personnel carrier. This was fitted with
a new insensitive reactive armour package intended to protect
the front and sides against a variety of anti-armour weapons
fitted with high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads, and
carried a Remote Controlled Weapon Station 30 (RCWS 30)
armed with a 30 mm cannon and a two-round Spike LR missile
