The new standard 9 mm pistol in the Russian army Yarygin Pya MP-443 "GRACH".
Russian army officers of the Western Military District have fired for the first time with the new 9mm pistol Yarygin Pya MP-443 “GRACH” during training session.

Yarygin PYa, MP-443 Grach is the latest Russian standard military-issue 9 mm pistol.
     

The PYa (Yarygin pistol) was developed for the Russian Army trials, under the codenamed "Grach". It was adopted for the first in 2003, but in a few number in the Russian army. The Yarygin pistol entered really in service with the Russian armed forces in 2011, to replace the 50 years old Makarov.

This new pistol should had have a DA trigger, large capacity magazine, all steel construction and be able to be converted into 9x18 PM and PMM, 9x19mm Luger, and 7.62x25mm TT chambering. Dual stack magazines are made from steel and hold 17 rounds of 9x19mm ammunition, plus one in chamber, which is 2 times more than its predecessor, the Makarov.

The new pistol 9mm Yarygin is largely appreciated by the Russian officers. The main advantages of this new weapon, is the sight system and his shooting accuracy.
