Citing information published by the Polish Online Defense Magazine "Defence-24", the Polish company Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów has conducted firing tests with the ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) Pirat using a remotely controlled ZSMU A3C weapon station mounted on a Perun 4x4 UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle).

The launching operation of the Pirat ATGM missile was conducted thanks to the use of the ZSMU A3C remotely controlled weapon system at 100 m from the robot position. The missile has successfully hit its target at a distance of 1,000 m after a 4-second flight.

A prototype of the Perun Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) was unveiled in September 2019, during the previous edition 2019 of the MSPO, defense exhibition in Poland. The UGV was designed according to the requests of the Polish Army to have an autonomous vehicle that can be fitted with a weapon station and able to conduct reconnaissance and combat missions.

The Perun is an autonomous four-wheeled robotic system that has a total weight of up to 900 kilograms. . The UGV is electrically powered allowing operation for at least 10 hours with a maximum range of 50 km. The robot is designed to conduct combat operations in urban environments.

The Perun UGV can be equipped with the ZSMU A3C remote-controlled weapon station which can be armed with one 7.62mm UKM 2000C or one 12.7 mm WKM-B heavy machine. With the Pirat missile mounted on the robot, the Perun UGV has now anti-tank capabilities.

The Pirat is ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) jointly developed by the defense industry of Ukraine and Poland. Two versions of the missile have already been developed including the Pirat 1, an infantry version designed to reach a maximum firing range of 2,500 m and the missile can be fitted with three different types of 2.5-kg warheads including armor-piercing, thermobaric, and high explosive fragmentation. The second version is the Pirat 2 which is a light short-range ATGM weapons system with a manually launched missile that will be self-guided after launch following the target-reflected laser beam trajectory. The missile of the Pirat 2 has a maximum firing range of 2.5 hm as the version 1 of the Pirat, but with time-to-target at the longest range shortened from 12 seconds down to 5.5 seconds, and will be used for defeating soft targets with its high explosive warhead of a proprietary design.
