Georgian defense industry has developed and manufactured a new light MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) based on the local-made 4x4 armoured vehicle Didgori 1 fitted with an universal rocket module. Pictures of the new vehicle were published on the Georgian Blog "The Dead District".

The Didgori 1 is a family of 4x4 armoured vehicles designed and manufactured in Georgia by State Military Scientific-Technical Center “Delta”.

The layout of Didgori 1 is conventional with the engine in the front, crew section in the middle and troop compartment at the rear.

The driver and commander are located at the front of the vehicle. In either side of the hull is a forward-opening door for the driver and commander. A large door is provided in the rear of the hull which opens to the right and is provided with a small bulletproof window and firing port in the upper part.

According information provided by the Georgian Blog and our first analysis of the Digori 1 light MLRS, a remote weapon station is mounted on the centre of the crew compartment fitted two blocks of 13 launch tubes.

The weapon station can be fitted with different caliber of rocket launcher tubes of 57, 80 et 107 mm. It has an elevation from +55° to 85° and can be rotated through 360°.
