Iran: new thermal imaging infrared cameras


The Iranian Defense industry have manufactured thermographic cameras to be installed on various anti-armor missile systems, including Toofan, Dehlavieh, and Tosan.

The manufacturer has made two thermographic cameras: the RU244TK with cooled infrared detectors, and the RU150TK with uncooled detector technology. Thermographic cameras can be broadly divided into two types: those with cooled infrared image detectors and those with uncooled detectors.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Tehran has always assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to the regional countries, saying that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
