The Challenger 1 is a British-made Main Battle Tank (MBT) whose development began in 1978. It entered into service with the British army in December 1982. A total of 420 Challenger 1 was ordered by the British army.

The Challenger 3 is a new British Main Battle Tank (MBT) developed and designed by the company Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL), a joint venture between the United Kingdom’s BAE Systems and Germany's Rheinmetall AG for military vehicle design, manufacture, and support. It is a modernized version of the British Challenger 2 that entered into service with the British army in 1998.

The Black Night Challenger 2 Technology Demonstrator is an upgraded version of the British army Challenger 2 MBT Main battle Tank launched by the Company BAE Systems to bid for the tank’s Life Extension Project (LEP).

The Challenger 2 TES (Theatre Entry Standard) also nicknamed Megatron is the latest generation of British Main Battle Tank (MBT) in the Challenger 2 family. This version of the Challenger 2 is very similar to the M1 Abrams TUSK (Tank Urban Survival Kit). The TES system was developed to increase the protection of the tank against tandem warheads and IED (Improvised Explosive Device) threats.

The Challenger 2 FV4034 is the main battle tank currently in service with the British army. Built by the British company Vickers Defence System now part of BAE Systems Land and Armaments.
