NIMR Automotive Ajban Class 4x4 vehicle available for SWAT team and Special Forces units.

At SOFEX 2016, NIMR Automotive presents two variants of its Ajban Class 4x4 multi-platform protected vehicle, the Ajban SOV (Special Operations Vehicle) and the Ajban ISV (Internal Security Vehicle).

The NIMR Automotive Ajban Class 4x4 vehicle is a multi-purpose platform fully designed and manufactured in UAE . This vehicle is not based to any current vehicle available to the military market as the American HUMVEE or the Russian Tigr.

The NIMR SOV (Special Operations Vehicle) showed at SOFEX 2016 is the latest development of NIMR Automotive to provide a vehicle especially adapted for the needs of modern Special Forces which can be used for all types of missions and in all-terrain conditions.

NIMR’s first prototype special operations vehicle has undergone extensive evaluation trials in arid desert conditions over some of the harshest terrain in the region. Army Recognition editorial team has also performs a test drive of NIMR SOV in the mountainous region and rough terrain of the KASOTC Special Forces training camp. The vehicle is light and powerful, capable of accessing all terrains, due to the full independent suspension. It can run a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 650 km.

The crew is protected by a tubular frame roll-bar around the cab to protect its occupants from injury in the case of an accident or rollover. At the center of the roof, a circular ring mount is available to armed the vehicle with a 12.7mm machine gun. To increase the fire power, additional swivel stations armed with 7.62mm or 5.56 mm can be added on each side of the vehicle.

At SOFEX 2016, NIMR Automotive also showcases its Ajban ISV (Internal Security Vehicle) which is designed to be used by security, police forces or SWAT team. The Ajban ISV showed at SOFEX 2016 was fitted at the front with a front dozer blade which can be used to move obstacle and a roof mounted vehicle assault system.
 
The roof assault system includes a ladder with platform to make entry into the second and third floors of buildings. This is an intervention system to allow rapid access into buildings, aircraft, ships in port, public transport vehicles and over compound walls and fences. The NIMR ISV can be customized to perform a wide range of police, law enforcement and counter terror operations based on the Ajban Class 4x4 vehicle.
