ShieldAfrica 2017 security & defence exhibition a key event to reinforce African States Security.
Tuesday, January 24, 2017, opening of the International Security and Defence Exhibition ShieldAfrica 2017 which takes place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire from the 24 to 26 January 2017. The opening ceremony was attended by minister of the interior and security of Côte d'Ivoire, Mister Hamed Bakayoko and international delegations from many countries of Africa.
     
     
This year the exhibition was preceded by an international conference that will be held on the 23rd of January at the Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan. It was organised under the patronage of the Ivoirian Defence Minister, who has invited his 53 African counterparts. This conference will gather numerous players involved in the African development, and more particularly in the Security and Defence of the continent.

ShieldAfrica presents all the latest products in the fields of security and defense necessary to reinforce the African States security. In addition to being a business place, ShieldAfrica also aims to be a meeting place where Official Delegations, experts, exhibitors, visitors and journalists from the security and military areas can exchange ideas, thoughts, opinions regarding security and defence issues nd future challenges.

During the exhibition, a large panel of workshops will also be organised and will make easier exchanges between experts. This year, these colloquiums will have for common theme the development of a safer Africa.

The 2017 exhibition will focus on security systems, cybersecurity and the Safe City, a Smart City component. These workshops will involve operations staff, manufacturers, medias, experts and higher authorities of the African continent.

For the edition 2017 of ShieldAfrica, more than 100 exhibitors from all over the world presents new and latest innovations of security and defense products.
