According to Army Recognition correspondent in Russia, the new French-Russian hybrid vehicle is based on a modified chassis of the VBCI 8x8 armoured infantry fighting vehicle, designed and manufactured by the French Company Renault Trucks Defense.

The integrator for the project is Russian Defense Company Uralvagonzavod, the largest scientific and industrial complexes in Russia.

At Russian Arms Expo 2013, a concept vehicle is showed for the first time after only four months of research and design.

This concept vehicle is equipped with PT-76B two-man turret which is an upgraded version of the Russian-made light amphibious tank PT-76. The turret is armed with a 57mm automatic gun and ammunitions autoloader with 85 rounds.

The new turret is also fitted with a modern fire control system with a high-precision sight, weapon stabilizer and information and control system. The gun is able to fire HEF (High Explosive Fragmentation) and AP (Armor-Piercing) tracer ammunitions with a maximum rate of 120 rds/min. A 7.62mm PKT coaxial machine gun is mounted to the right of the main armament.

Major French manufacturers of armaments, military equipment, and electronics will take part in Russia Arms EXPO 2013 (RAE 2013), the IX International Exhibition of Arms, Military Equipment, and Ammunition such as Nexter, Renault Trucks Defense, Sagem Safran group and other companies.
