The PRV–9 and its power supply was developed on two trailer, a transmitter/receiver cabinet with the antenna's turn table, and a cabinet with the independent electric power generator (diesel-engine). The radar can detect aerial threats at a range from 155 to 160 km and an altitude from 1 to 12 km. The PRV-9 is protected against active and passive jamming.
