Description
The versatility is achieved by using radar phased arrays the X-band and high automation of all processes for its functioning based on modern high-speed digital management practices. Antenna RPN 30N6E2 may rise to a special mobile tower 40V6M.
Operation
The 30N6E2 Tomb Stone is an upgraded version of the 30N6, which is primarily designed to be used as an engagement radar and to track targets and guide missiles to impact using a command link channel.
Truck tractor
The 30N6E2 Tomb stone radar is mounted on the high mobility truck chassis 8x8 MAZ-7910 vehicle derived from the MAZ-543.
Combat use
During operation, Favorit's acquisition and illumination and guidance radar simultaneously scan the air space, detecting and identifying aerial targets. The simultaneous scanning of the air space by several radars completely denies targets any access to a protected zone, including ground-hugging cruise missiles flying at extremely low altitudes from any direction, even in conditions of intensive reflections from local objects and deployment of electronic countermeasures by the enemy.
