Therefore MSPO is the stage for première-presentations of military equipment and cutting-edge technologies. Another year in succession the show has been in an uptrend - Targi Kielce hosts 550 exhibitors from 30 countries, the exhibition space has increased to over 27, 000 square meters. The expo is to be held from 1 to 4 September 2015.

MSPO 2015 certainly beats its own record. Compared to 2014's edition, the exhibitors list has increased by 14%. The exhibition brings together representatives of, inter alia, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea., Israel, France, Cyprus and Ukraine. Polish companies enjoy the largest representation - 301, followed by the USA - 46, Germany - 35, France - 22, and the UK - 18. The exhibitors list includes the greatest armaments companies, and among them Lockheed Martin, Boeing, BAE Systems, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Finmeccanica, Thales and MBDA.

MSPO is complemented with the 21st International Logistics Fair LOGISTYKA. "This year's edition is held when the world has been facing the most serious security crisis since the end of the Cold War; the conflict in Ukraine, the growing power of the Islamic State, quasi-martial law on the border between North and South Korea - this is only part of today's political and military situation. The 23rd International Defence Industry Exhibition has been set against a new background and has thus become the discussion platform on the world's most topical defense-related issues," said Andrzej Mochon PhD, Targi Kielce President of Board.

The MSPO's tradition is to include Lead Nations' Exhibitions. These Exhibitions have been a part of the Expo since 2004. Until now Germany, France, Israel, the USA, Sweden, the V4 Group Countries, Great Britain, Italy and Turkey have presented their military potentials. The 2015 MSPO edition features Norway in the National Defence Industry Exhibition . This is the showcase for 15 Norwegian companies. "Our countries' defense industries constantly look for new areas of cooperation which could translate into mutual benefits. Poland's and Norway's defense industries draw from well-established, constantly developing business relations,"- this is how Mr Oystein Bo, Norway's Deputy Minister of Defence praised military cooperation with Poland. The Minister partakes in the Kielce event. Minister Oystein, "Because chairs one of the seminars organized during the by the lead-nation within the scope of MSPO; this is held under the banner of "Poland and Norway strong partnership in terms of defense, industry and technology: Past, present, future."

The armed forces' technical modernization program for the years 2014-2022 has earmarked 130 billion PLN ($35bn) for equipment and weapons. Within the programme framework the army will be provided new equipment and technologies, including, inter alia, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, missile defense systems and all kinds of guns or armoured vehicles. Poland's government intends to spend astounding amounts of money; this attracts world's largest defence companies to Kielce. MSPO is crucial for tenders; this is where key international contracts are signed.

One of Polish army's most important tenders in a short-term perspective is the Kruk [Raven] programme to supply attack helicopters. The programme scope is 30 to 40 fully-armoured machines. The programme value ranges from 5 to 9 billion PLN ($1.3-2.4bn). The tender is the reason for MSPO to be the presentation platform for, among others, the Turkish TAI T129 ATAK Multirole Combat Helicopter as well as the French Tiger helicopter from Airbus and the American AH-64 Apache from Boeing. The French concern, in addition the combat machine also showcases multi-role Caracal H225M and H145M. Americans, besides the world-famous Apache also put on show the UH-60 Black Hawk from the Sikorsky company.

Other tenders make waves at the MSPO - these are short-range anti-aircraft missile sets "Narew" and very short-range anti-aircraft artillery-missile systems known as "Pilica". Both are a part of the so-called "Shield of Poland"; their total worth accounts for c.a. 10-12 billion PLN ($2.6-3.2bn).
