The Turkish military electronics company Aselsan came this year in Poland with its newly-developed HISAR . It's only the second time the HISAR is on display at a defence exhibition, after having been showcased for the first time during IDEF 2015 in Istanbul. Aselsan's HISAR Missile Launching System is a multipurpose missile launcher which deploys and launches short and medium range HISAR Air Defense Missiles. The HISAR range includes the Hisar-A short-range SAM system, the Hisar-O medium-range SAM system, and a new fire control system (FCS) for SAM batteries.

HISAR-A Missile Launching System, configured as a short range air defense missile launcher, operates under control of KORKUT-Fire Control System which provides coordinated operation of 35 mm towed guns and Missile Launching System. The HISAR-A systems are dedicated to air defense of maneuver and stationary forces againt threats as fighters, helicopters, UAVs, cruise missiles, air to surface missiles. This system has a modular design comprising search radar and IFF, infrared sensors and laser range finder, data link, vertically launcher and bi-pulsed air defense missile IRR seeker.

Maximum interception range of the system is 15km, at a maximum altitude of 5km. It can be fitted with up to four ready-to-fire missiles. Currently three prototypes of the Hisar-A system have been completed, with delivery of the first systems to the Turkish military for qualification planned for 2017.

The HISAR-O Missile Launching System, configured as a medium range air defense missile launcher, is controlled by HISAR-O fire control center which supervises three launchers within an air defense bataillon. The Hisar-O missile has a maximum altitude of 10 km and a maximum range of 25 km at sea level. It carries up to 6 ready-to-fire missiles.

Hisar Low Altitude Air Defense Missile System project includes development and production of two type of ground system, self-propelled armored and wheeled vehicle mounted air defense missile systems, and the missile. Development and company trials of the HISAR system are expected to be completed by 2018.

This Air defense missile system mounted on a self-propelled armored vehicle shall be fully autonomous by means of 3D radar, Electro-Optic system, command control and fire control. Another version on wheeled vehicle shall be a missile launcher connected to Fire Control Unit for fire and command control functions.
