The SW-4 Solo RUAS/OPH, the result of a close collaboration between PZL-Swidnik and AgustaWestland, is one of the most advanced achievements of aviation technology in recent years. Based on the proven SW-4 light single engine helicopter, the SW-4 Solo RUAS/OPH has been designed for both unmanned and piloted operations, providing users with maximum operational flexibility.

The SW-4 ‘Solo’ is designed to deliver maximum flexibility to operators thanks to the capability of performing both piloted and unmanned missions in land and maritime environments.. In a RUAS configuration the SW-4 ‘Solo’ can perform many tasks such as maritime, border and battlefield surveillance; target acquisition and reconnaissance; homeland security, environmental monitoring, ground survey and mapping, disaster / battle damage assessment and cargo supply.

The SW-4 ‘Solo’ can be fitted with a comprehensive mission equipment suite, incorporating surveillance sensors, communication/intelligence systems and armament. The SW-4 RUAS prototype is expected to perform its maiden flight in a piloted configuration in the forthcoming months while the first unmanned flight is expected to be performed in 2013.

The AW149 is the only new generation helicopter in its category in decades, able to meet the most stringent requirements of modern battlefield operations, featuring outstanding performance, mission technology, flexibility, cabin space and through-life cycle cost/effectiveness.

With a rugged construction incorporating crashworthy features, such as up to eighteen crashworthy troop seats and excellent access and egress, the AW149 maximises survivability. Twin engines ensure high performance in hot and high conditions. A 4-axis auto-pilot and advanced latest generation avionics system serves to minimise crew work load. The aircraft can also be configured to carry a variety of weapons and stores on external carriers.

PZL-Swidnik is offering the AW149 helicopter in the tender for the supply of 70 multi-role aircraft to the Polish Armed Forces.
