CT-CV turret Falarick 105 at MSPO 2010

Thursday , 09 September 2010, 12:03 PM

Now CMI CT-CV turret Weapon System 105 mm gun can firing the anti-tank missile Falarick 105.

CMI Defence presents for the first time in Poland at the International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO 2010 the Falarick 105, the new anti-tank guided missile launched from the Cockerill CV gun. It's in Scotland that CMI has demonstrated the effectiveness and accuracy of the CT-CV Weapon System gun launched missile which confirms the positioning of this turret system as an advanced 105 mm, the benchmark in large calibre weapon systems.

CT-CV 105 mm gun weapon system can firing ani-tank missile Falarick 105
This GLATGM ability increases even more the CT-CV Weapon System’s capability to provide modern armed forces with a fully effective response to demanding operational challenges. It delivers immediate, precise and lethal effects against comprehensive set of targets at short and extended ranges, based on a balanced combination of conventional and smart tank munitions, gun-launched missiles and heavy machine guns.
These effects are enhanced through a single auto-loaded weapon system that allows the selective loading and firing of multiple ammunition options including gun-launched missiles, from under armour.
Co-developed with the State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch”, the Falarick 105 is a 105 mm calibre missile specifically designed to be launched from the Cockerill CV gun, itself a proprietary development by CMI Defence.
With its laser beam guidance system, the Falarick 105 is able to wipe out fixed & moving armoured targets, helicopters and fortifications at a distance of 5 kilometres. Its tandem hollow-charged warhead allows it to destroy targets under 550 mm of armour and behind ERA or their equivalent.
Its name refers to the falarica, a heavy javelin used by Iberians. Thanks to its long, thin iron head with a narrow sharp tip, it was an excellent armour-piercing weapon.

The CMI Defence 105mm CT-CV weapon system can now engage targets at extended ranges with the Falarick 105 laser-guided projectile

Uncontested world leader in the field of Cast Plastic Bonded eXplosive (PBX) charges, with more than 40 years of experience, EURENCO offers a wide range of Cast PBX solutions for Air, Naval and Land Forces applications: missile warheads, general purpose and penetrator bombs, underwater weapons, mortar, tank and artillery shells, grenades, etc.

Charges for Insensitive Munitions:
Nowadays, standards of warfare mandate the use of Insensitive Munitions, less vulnerable to accidental or intentional stimuli. Faced with this technological challenge, and in order to meet the Armed Forces’ new requirements for personnel and combat platform safety, EURENCO I.M. Department developed a range of Cast PBX charges for Insensitive Munitions. The best industrial solution for all I.M., they bring significant advantages: Increased Life Duration - no more cracks or exudations; Safer handling - no more fatal accidents involving ammunition; Low Life Cycle Cost - improved safety in logistics, no maintenance.
In addition to standard manufacturing processes for Cast PBX charges, EURENCO developed and patented a unique revolutionary process, called the “bi-component process”, for volume production and loading of mortar, tank and artillery shells.

Reactive armour kits:
Both designer and manufacturer, EURENCO also develops ERA add-on tiles to meet the Armed Forces’ new challenges. The missions of armoured vehicles as defensive or interposition forces in urban operations make them increasingly vulnerable targets, and require their enhanced protection. Based on Cast PBX technology, EURENCO Reactive Armour Kits are extremely efficient against RPG’s and AP projectiles.

Base Bleed Grains:
EURENCO’s range of activities also covers the development and production of base bleed grains. By reducing the drag of the shell during the ballistic trajectory, base bleed components answer to modern artillery system requirements for extended range ammunition. Using an exclusive pressing technology, EURENCO’s base bleed units are adaptable to all types of shells and
calibres.

9A33BM OSA-P, the modernized SA-8 air-defense missile system on the wheeled chassis BAZ-5937

The Polish army continues to use the russian anti-aircraft defense system SA-8, while passing by a modernization allowing to answer the new threats and combat missions. The modernized SA-8 anti-aircraft missile system combat vehicle 9A33BM OSA-P is designed to destroy the aircrafts, helicopters, rockets and other air targets in good and limited visibility conditions, using of radio location or optoelectronics system and Automatic diagnostic system.
The modernization advantages:
- Day and night target tracking with small cloudiness to the distance of 30 km – using the optoelectronic system, with average cloudiness to 20 km with automatic tracking – using video tracker.
- The distance measurement (using the laser rangefinder) to the target like TS ISKRA, SU22:
* to 6 – 9 km (operating on the height up to 1,000 m)
* to 10 – 15 km (operating on the height above 1,000m
- The distance measurement (using the laser rangefinder) to the target moving with very small speeds and the helicopters – up to 20 – 25 km
- The qualification of the own position with exactitude not smaller than 30 m
- The enlargement about at least 30% maximum distance of detection of targets with the small effective reflection surface. Enlarge the coefficient of the strengthener of the receiving track above 6 dB and the coefficient of the hums of the receiving track was lowered, about at least 2dB. The probability of correct detection grew up and the probability of the false alarm got smaller
- The engagement about at least 10dB of suppression of passive jamming and non-synchronic signals. Suppression of the jamming of passive signals proceeds in the whole range of searching radar (previously up to 35 km, at present up to 45 km), for target tracking radar in the whole range (previously – 1,5 km, at present up to 28 km)
- The improvement of the firing parameters in the conditions of strong active jamming with use of the optoelectronic system. The modernized SA-8 missile combat vehicle PRWB OSA-P devices make possible the passage from video tracker passive tracking on radio locating tracking and the life firing can be conduct in the basic kind of the work. The modernized SA-8 missile combat vehicle PRWB OSA-P devices make possible speed steering of the target tracking radar column in the PA mode from Beta (in the azimuth) and Epsylon (in the elevation) knobs; that is why the life firing can be conduct in the basic kind of the work “Semi-automatic”.

French Land Defense and Security Manufacturers Association (GICAT) at MSPO 2010.

French Land Defense and Security Manufacturers Association (GICAT) will be present with French defense businesses during the central European defense and security show (MSPO Kielce).
Since 2005, French land defense and security industries partner with MSPO show held each year in Kielce. For this 18th edition, GICAT as part of its mission to support export and promotion of defense and security industries joined UBIFRANCE to strengthen the partnership between French and Polish industries.

"Poland, the first Central European recipient of French investments, is an important market for players in the defense market. In the past decade, the countries of Eastern Europe and especially Poland have invested heavily in modernizing their armies. Poland is a key player in the development of an industrial and technological basis of European defense.
Under the Weimar Triangle and in view of the Polish presidency of the European Union, strengthening cooperation in the field of defense would allow industries to increase their partnerships in Poland."
General (Retired) Jean-Albert Epitalon, Director International and Strategic Affairs, GICAT.

Fisher Panda at MSPO 2010

Friday , 20 August 2010, 11:20 AM

World premiere! at MSPO 2010 Fisher Panda 24 kW Generator / ECU for Container Systems

Fischer Panda CAPS is a highly sophisticated Combined Air-conditioner and Power System for container-based applications requiring electrical power, advanced ECU heating and air-conditioning capabilities. By fully utilising performance, management and self testing features, the CAPS can maintain an optimal environment for sensitive electronic equipment and personnel to operate in.

Thermo-management: An innovative coupling of generator cooling and ECU system can supply heat from three different sources: heat as “by product” from the generator cooling system, integrated diesel heating and heat produced electrically. The ECU has a cooling capacity of 2x8kW.

Active performance management adjusts the air condition output depending on the altitude. This will ensure full electrical supply of the shelter. Electrical systems are supplied by a 24kW generator via multiple electrical outlets with isolation transformer protection. Upon loss grid power, the generator is automatically started and the supply switched to the generator. This can also be done manually.

Advanced “Built IN Test Equipment” – The CAPS System is designed for command units maintaining a heightened “battle readiness” and who are expecting disruption or total loss of the mains power grid. During periods of inactivity, the system can start and automatically accomplish system tests to ensure functioning correctly.

About the company Fischer Panda GmbH
