Italian Company SIB launches its new Mi.G01 4x4 light protected vehicle at Milipol 2015.
A new type of light security protected vehicle is launched at Milipol 2015, the Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security in Paris by the Italian Company SIB (Societa Italiana Blindati). With its Mi.G01,the Italian Company offers the first 4x4 protected light vehicle with a total weight of 5,800 kg offering a protection Level 2 STANAG 4569.

Located in the province of Venice, SIB has a 1,500 square meter structure where each year they complete an average of 100 armour-plating projects, which are designed and built to offer a high level of efficiency and protection. Besides having all of the optional and functionality required to respond to various customer needs, SIB armour-plating is competitive when compared to its main competitors, not only from the technical point of view, but also from the economic point of view.
 
 

The Mi.G01 is a vehicle with the highest standards of performance and quality. The Mi.G01 is able to supply fundamental support to military police security forces, national guard during missions of control and protect people against dangerous situations.

The Mi.G01 is based on an IVECO truck chassis T REX 60 Bremach using tubular sections and a soldered counterframe. The Mi.G01 is motorized with a 4 cylinder 16 valve twin-turbo Diesel engine coupled to a manual 6 speed gearbox or an automatic Allison gearbox.

The Mi.G01 offers a protection Level 2 STANAG 4569 in standard configuration but the vehicle can be fitted with armour kit to offer a protection up to Level 4. The vehicle can carry a total of 10 security personnel including driver and commander.

There is two doors on each side of the vehicle with armoured window and firing port. There is also one small armoured windows with firing port on each side at the rear of the hull. The troops enter and leave the Mi.G01 via a single door without a central pillar in the rear of the hull which is equipped with small-bullet-proof windows and firing port.
