Iran equips M60 Main Battle Tanks with anti-TOW jamming sytems
Iranian Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan announced that the Iran has equipped its M60 tanks with jamming systems to disturb performance of TOW and other anti-tank guided missiles.

"We have mounted fire-control and jamming systems on M60 tanks to be able to divert TOW and other anti-armored missiles," Pourdastan said in an interview with the iranian Army magazine 'Saf' on Wednesday, May 11.

He also announced the Ground Force's plans to strengthen its missile power in the current Iranian year (started on March 20).

General Pourdastan also declared formation of quick-reaction brigades by the Ground Force to confront threats to the country.

In relevant remarks in February, Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari announced that his forces have been equipped with the home-made tanks named 'Karrar' with features similar to the Russian T-90 tanks.

"Karrar tanks have been delivered to the combat units of the Ground Force," General Heidari told reporters in Tehran.

He also underlined plans to mount new, advanced systems on Karrar and Zolfaqar tanks.
