Previously, Russian State Duma Deputy Vladimir Gutenyov had said in a live interview with the Echo Moskvy radio station that Russia delivered the first several S-400 battalions to China. "S-400 air defense systems have not been delivered to China yet," Vorobyova said. According to her, Russia and China have been implementing the S-400 Triumph missile system contract in compliance with its terms and provisions.

"The delivery will be on schedule specified by relevant documents," Vorobyova added without going into detail. China is the launch customer for the S-400. The placement of its order for the type was announced in spring 2015. According to the media, the value of the deal totaled about $3 billion.
