Philippine Army confirms that complete delivery of 28 upgraded M-113 is set. “Eighteen will be delivered by May 11 and the remaining 10 will handed over on July 11,” PA spokesman Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato said in a message to Philippine News Agency. Elbit will be upgrading 28 M-113 granted by US Defense Security Cooperation Agency to the Philippines.

University students in Latvia could be given rudimentary military training, according to the country’s minister of defence Raimonds Vejonis, who spoke to Latvian TV channel LNT. At the end of February 2015, the Azerbaijani Minister of Defence Industry Yaver Jamalov said in an interview with the Baku TV channel ANS, that Azerbaijan is in talks with Brazilian firm GESPI for the co-production of anti-tank weapons. Those weapons could be the ALAC (Light Anti-Armour Weapon, Arma Leve Anticarro in Portuguese) rocket launcher, a licensed version of the Saab AT-4 single-shot rocket launcher.

The U.S. Army plans to replace the M113's capability with the armored multi-purpose vehicle, or AMPV. The M113 armored personnel carrier has been in the Army since 1960 and Ierardi said the vehicle has already seen its last days as an operational vehicle. While a number of M113s remain in the Army inventory, the service has stopped using them operationally.
