"The Tor-M2KM surface-to-air missile system can provide air defense for cities within their bounds and defend people against terror attacks during large-scale international political, sporting and other events," according mangement of Almaz-Antey.

The Tor-M2KM surface-to-air missile system was developed in 2014. Unlike the Tor-M2E air defense missile system, the Tor-M2KM complex has an increased target engagement range and altitude.

The combat module of the Tor-M2KM air defense missile system can be mounted on any platform with a capacity of no less than 20 tons.

In particular, the Almaz-Antey Corporation mounted the Tor-M2KM system’s self-contained combat module on a KAMAZ wheeled chassis specifically for the exhibition.

The mobile version of the Tor-M2KM system can be transported by the Mil Mi-26T (Halo) helicopter with the use of its external sling and by the Ilyushin Il-76 (Candid) plane.

The stationary version of the Tor-M2KM air defense missile system can be mounted on building roofs, drilling platforms, etc.

The Tor-M2 is an upgraded version of the Tor-M1 short-range air defense missile system. The TOR-M2/M2E is designed by the Russian Defense Company Almaz-Antey. The Tor-M2 can simultaneously engage up to 48 processed targets and ten tracked targets. It has the capability to exchange radar data with another vehicle. The system can destroy moving enemy targets within the range of 12km and at altitudes from 10m to 1,000m.
