At ISNR 2016, the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Company NIMR Automotive presents two variants of its Ajban class family of 4x4 armored vehicle in police and SWAT team variant.

The AJBAN Class of 4x4 vehicles provides a multipurpose platform for all military requirements at 9 tonnes capacity from utility vehicles to fully protected patrol vehicles.

A universal 4x4 chassis is utilised for a common logistic footprint to the user to minimize the burden of training, maintenance and spare parts management. All vehicles in the AJBAN Class can be protected, and specific protected models are included for crew survivability with fully tested and certified cabins.

The Police version showed at ISNR 2016 is based on the Ajban 440 variant which is a protected vehicle with a four man armored cabin offering high level of protection against ballistic threats and blast of IEDs.

The Ajban 440 is manufactured using the universal 4x4 chassis of Ajban family. This vehicle incorporates latest engineering developments such as a new electrical architecture and power management system, new dashboard, seats, interior trim, wheels and cabin design. The front part of the vehicle is fitted with the powerpack, the crew compartment is in the middle and a cargo area is available at the rear of the chassis.

The NIMR vehicles is in service with the UAE armed forces since many years and the vehicle is also now in service with many other countries as Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Algeria. In 2012, Algeria and the United Arab Emirates have signed an agreement to jointly produce NIMR armored vehicles in Algeria.

The second vehicle presented by NIMR at ISNR 2016 is the Ajban ISV SWAT Vehicle. The Ajban ISV is an internal security 4x4 vehicle especially designed for Special Units of Police Forces.

The ISV SWAT vehicle presented at ISNR 2016 is fitted with an assault ladder. With this new version , NIMR Automotive show is ability to provide its armored vehicle ready to be used for a full range of mission and application based on multirole platform.
 
The Ajban ISV SWAT fitted with an assault ladder is designed to support a special police team during counter-terrorist, hostage rescue or police missions. Ten police officers have access to the roof of a vehicle thanks to a ladder and a large platform with safety features: non-slip floor, handrail and armor protection on shield ramps.
