On the booth of CMI Defence at IndoDefence 2012, the CSE90 Weapon System is mounted on the mockup of the South Korean wheeled armoured 6x6 Tarantula (also named Black Fox) designed and manufactured by the Defence Company Doosan of South Korea. In fact, CMI Defence has announced the delivery of 22 CSE90 Weapon System to Indonesia.

The CMI Defence CSE90 for Indonesia will be mounted on the Doosan 6x6 wheeled armoured vehicle personnel carrier of Doosan Industry.

The performances of the CMI Defence Weapons systems have been further enhanced by incorporating sub-systems of the latest generation including electro-mechanical drives and modern day/night sight with laser range finder and ballistic computer. Its single stage muzzle brake allows the firing of APFSDS-T ammunition. Secondary armament includes coaxial and pintle-mounted 7.62 mm machine gun and grenade launchers.

All the conception and manufacturing is taking place in CMI Defence’s new facilities in Loncin (Belgium) while integration of the turrets on the Tarantula vehicles will take place in South Korea. First deliveries are expected for 2013. A total of 11 turrets will be manufactured in Belgium and the second batch of 11 turrets will be manufactured in Indonesia by Pindad after the transfer of technology.

At the same time, CMI Defence works with the Indonesian Defence Company Pindad to integrate the CSE90 Weapon system on the new version of the 6x6 armoured vehicle Anoa, which was unveiled during the IndoDefence 2010 exhibition.
