IDEX 2021: IAG introduces new Rila Xtreme MRAP Mine Resistant Ambush Protected 4x4 vehicle


UAE-based company International Armored Group (IAG) introduces a new member in the Rila family, the Rila Xtreme MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle. MRAPs vehicles have been described as providing significantly more protection against Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) than up-armored light tactical vehicles or armored personnel carriers.

The Rila Xtreme MRAP ((Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle is fully developed, designed, and manufactured by the company IAG (International Armored Group). IAG manufacture and supply armored vehicle all over the world as well as to governmental agencies, military units, police services, law enforcement agencies and United Nations.

With a combined manufacturing space of 500,000 sq. ft producing up to 200 armored vehicles per month, IAG is able to meet any order size in short time frames. The company has developed and built over 80 different models of armored vehicles such as armored SUVs and pick-up trucks; sedans; armored passenger transport; mobile banking units and cash-in-transit vehicles; armored ambulances; military and tactical vehicles; armored explosive ordinance vehicles and armored riot control water cannons.

The Rila Xtreme MRAP is a 4x4 armored vehicle based on a v-hull shaped design that offers high level of protection against IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) and mine blast. The Rila Xtreme MRAP is certified to STANAG level 3 capable of defeating 7.62x54R API sniper rifle Dragunov rounds and 7.62x51 WC armor piercing rounds.

The Rila Xtreme MRAP can accommodate up to 10 military personnel including driver and commander in APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) version and can be also configured as a military ambulance, riot-control vehicle and equipped with a high payload package for cargo transport.

The Rila Xtreme MRAP is powered by a Cummins diesel engine developing 370 hp coupled to an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission.
