HighCom Security adds four new hard armor models to its Guardian Series
HighCom Security, leading provider of hard body armor and related personal protective solutions, showcases at IDEX 2017 four new hard armor models to its Guardian Series ballistic product line. These products received NIJ compliance status through the US National Institute of Justice Compliance Testing Program (NIJ CTP).

HighCom’s Guardian Series Hard Armor product line includes ten NIJ 0101.06 certified models, including the addition of four new models: Guardian 3S11, Guardian 3S11M, Guardian AR1000, and Guardian 4S17M.

These stand-alone plate inserts are designed according to the NIJ ratings for Level III (3S11, 3S11M, AR1000) and Level IV (4S17M), offering law enforcement and military personnel an expanded selection of both single curve and multi curve options for up armor requirements (specifically for armor piercing threats, high powered rifle threats along with special threats).

NIJ introduced the Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor NIJ Standard-0101.06 to more effectively defend against increased velocities of ammunition calibers and provide improved performance against the threats law enforcement faces in today’s world.

“Our focus has and will continue to be the development and commercialization of NIJ certified solutions for the marketplace while promoting to our current and future customers the critical importance of compliance programs such as NIJ. With the growth of body armor supply, both domestically and overseas, and considering these are lifesaving products, we are focusing all possible resources into the certification program created by NIJ along with our ISO 9001:2008 and BA 9000:2012 certified quality management system,” said Michael Bundy, President of HighCom.
