Konstrukta Defence EVA 6x6 155mm 52 caliber self-propelled howitzer at IDET 2015, at the International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies in Brno, Czech Republic.

The EVA is 6x6 self-propelled autonomous artillery system with automatic loading of ammunition providing an effective fire by means of both direct and indirect aiming. The design is based on a proven 155 mm 52 caliber cannon while overtaking maximum assemblies and design solutions verified within the course of demanding testing and tender trials performed in Slovak Republic and abroad.

The EVA is based on a 6x6 all-terrain truck chassis TATRA, but the system can be also mounted on a 8x8 truck chassis.

The gun system is mounted on a mobile platform at the rear of the truck chassis and can be fully controlled from inside the crew cabin at the front of the truck. It has a traverse from +60° on each side and a elevation from -3.5° to +75°. The fully automatic loading system is mounted at the rear of weapon platform with 12 projectiles and 12 powder charges ready to fire. Another 12 projectiles and 12 powder charges are carried in hermetical packing on the truck chassis.

The fully armoured cabin has been mounted at the front of the vehicle and has individual seats for the crew of three. The crew cabin is of welded steel armour and provides protection from small arms fire up to 7.62 mm in calibre and shell splinters.

Maximum range depends of the nature of ammunition and charge system but firing an ERFB-BB (Extended Range Full Bore-Base Bleed) a maximum range of 41 km can be achieved.

The EVA has a rate of fire of 5 rounds per minute in automatic mode and 13 rounds per minute in 3 minutes in manual mode. When the system is deployed in the firing position an anchor spade is hydraulically lowered on each side at the rear of the truck chassis to provide a more stable firing platform.
