"Turkey’s National Defense Ministry is interested in a wide range of military hardware items, in particular, Russian-made air defense systems of various ranges," Rosoboronexport’s press office quoted Goncharov as saying.

"We are also discussing a number of projects for technological partnership in the joint development and production of promising weapons," Goncharov added.

According to him, Rosoboronexport has been discussing arms supplies with Turkish partners since late 2016.

As the press office said, Rosoboronexport is the organizer of Russia’s exposition at the IDEF 2017 international arms exhibition that is taking place on May 9-12 in Istanbul in Turkey.

Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Mikhail Petukhov will be the head of the Russian delegation, while Goncharov will lead Rosoboronexport’s delegation.

The IDEF 2017 exhibition is being attended by Rosoboronexport and the Almaz-Antey Corporation that will display more than 240 military hardware items.

Rosoboronexport presents information on 200 military hardware items designed for all armed services and branches.

The company is planning to hold a wide range of business events during the IDEF 2017 exhibition.

Meetings with government and military officials and business community representatives of Turkey and other Middle East countries are being held during the exhibition.
