Folks,

I can't find my source for the weapon in this video, but if I remember correctly it is offered for export only. Also the missile fired is the same missile as is fired by the KA-52 and Mi-28 attack helicopters. It is radio command guided and the special radar is for firing in bad visibility conditions.

Any comments or information would be appreciated.

Dear Jack,
This is the Khrizantema (Chrysanthemum) anti-tank vehicle. The chassis is the BMP-3 based "Universal Chassis" made by Kurganmashzavod. It is highly automated with a crew of only two. Missiles are laser or millimeter-wave radar guided and the system can engage ground or slow-moving aerial targets. It is also equipped with a folding crane for replenishing the ammunition magazine.

Dear Costa,

Thanks for giving a description. In the video I saw the replenishing crane in operation. But I am surprised the Russians -- ie who are not known for bells and whistles on their weapon systems -- felt it was necessary.
