New Volat MZKT-490100 Shershen-M anti-tank missile launcher armoured vehicle at MILEX 2017.
At the 8th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery, MILEX 2017, which was held in Minsk (Belarus) from the 20 to 22 May 2017, Belarusian Company TsNip in collaboration with Volat presents an anti-tank missile launcher vehicle based on the Volat 4x4 armoured vehicle MZKT-490100.

The MZKT-490100 is 4x4 armoured vehicle which was unveiled at Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris (France) i n June 2016. At Milex 2017, the vehicle was presented for the first time in anti-tank configuration fitted with a remotely operated turret armed called Shershen-M armed with four anti-tank missile launchers.
 

The MZKT-490100 armoured vehicle is fully designed and manufactured by the Belarusian Company Volat. The layout of the vehicle is very similar to the German-made Dingo 2, with the engine at the front, crew in the middle and troops compartment at the rear. In APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) variant, the vehicle can carry a total of 10 military personnel including driver and commander.

The new Shershen-M is bale to fire four different Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) including RK-2, RK-2V, B-2M, and the RK-3. The system is fitted with a new dual-axis stabilized 1K118P combined observation and ATGM guidance system mounted on a telescopic mast which is located on the roof of the vehicle.

All ATGM variants are guided to the target by a semi-active command line-of-sight (LOS) system with commands transmitted to the missile by a coded laser. The RK-2 missile has a maximum range of 5,500 m and is fitted with a tandem shaped-charge warhead able to penetrate 850 mm of standard armour behind Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA).

The Rk-2V missile but has a larger rocket motor offering a firing range up to 8,000 m. The B-2M missile is equipped with a tandem shaped-charge warhead able to penetrate standard armour of 1,100 mm of behind ERA at a maximum range of 5,500 m. The RK-3 missile is fitted with a tandem shaped-charge warhead abale to penetrate 550mm of standard armour behind ERA.
