On May 31, Star Defence Logistics & Engineering (SDLE) and John Cockerill, through its Spanish subsidiary John Cockerill España S.L., announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for collaboration on projects related to John Cockerill Defense projects.

John Cockerill España has identified and is pursuing business opportunities in Spain mainly with regards to the VCR 8x8, M60 (MI) replacement, Pizzarro upgrade and Centauro replacement and other export market potential opportunities. Within this framework, SDLE and John Cockerill España have held discussions and have identified areas of potential collaboration in the Spanish market and other potential markets.
