Ukrainian-made Kozak-2 4x4 armoured personnel carrier in service with Border Guards of Ukraine
According a video releases on Internet, the Ukrainian-made Kozak-2 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier is now in service with the Ukrainian Border Guards. February 11, 2016, a column of armoured vehicles including modernized BTR-70 APC and Kozak-2 were shot at the entrance of Ukrainian border guards barracks in eastern Ukraine.

In March 2015, Ukraine has purchased a total of 10 Kozak-2 4x4 armoured vehcile personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the Ukrainian Company Practika.

The vehicle design is based on an IVECO chassis and includes a v-shaped armored hull to protect the crew against anti-personnel mines or other explosives.

The Kozac is available in four variants: patrol vehicle, reconnaissance vehicle, special missions vehicle and mobile command post. B-6 and B-7 armoring protection classes ensures protection against 7.62x51 mm NATO shots. The V-shape bottom protect the vehicle against explosion of 3 kg TNT equivalent.
 
The Kozak-2 (2015) offers an higher level of protection up to STANAG 4569 Level III, which provides a ballistic protection against 7.62 x 51 AP and mine blast explosion of 8 kg TNT under the wheels.
 
The Kozak-2 is motorized with an IVECO diesel engine, developing 279 hp. It complies with EURO IV emission requirements. The vehicle can carry a total of 15 soldiers including driver and commander with a total weight of 15,000 kg.
