Police of Uganda takes delivery of 35 Chinese-made CS/VP3 4x4 MRAP and anti-riot vehicles.
According the National Kenyan television, at the beginning of February Chinese-made armoured vehicles CS/VP3 were unloaded at the port of Mombasa in Kenya to be delivered to the Ugandan Police. In 2011-2012 Ugandan police has already receives a first batch of CS/VP3.

In April 2014, the Ugandan police requested the country's parliament to allocate them more funds in the next financial year (2015/2016) to acquire equipment for quelling protests around the country.

With these new armoured vehicles, the Kenyan National Police Service will no longer have to depend on other agencies such as the Kenya Defence Forces to perform their duties in dealing with terrorism and relate crimes.

In Kenya, the armoured vehicles are to be used by police in securing the frontier areas in the country.

More than 35 armoured vehicles were unloaded at the port of Mombasa in Kenya, ahead of the country's presidential and parliamentary elections set for February 18.

This delivery also includes anti-riot vehicles with water cannons designed and manufactured by the Chinese Company Poly Technologies

The CS/VP3 is an APC armoured personnel carrier in the category of MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle) vehicle designed and manufactured by the Chinese Company Poly Technologies.

There are two small manual single turret, one mounted at the front and one on the rear of the top crew compartment which can rotated on 360°, each with one single hatch. The turrets can be armed 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun. The gunners are protected with armour plates on 360°.
