French Company SOFRAME unveils ARIVE ARmoured Infantry Vehicle at Eurosatory 2016.
The French Company SOFRAME unveils its new ARIVE (ARmoured Infantry Vehicle) at Eurosatory 2016, the international land and airland defence and security exhibition in Paris, France. The ARIVE is fully designed and manufactured by SOFRAME based on the Unimog light tactical truck chassis.

The layout of the SOFRAME ARIVE is standard with the power pack at the front, crew (driver and commander) in the middle and troops compartment at the rear. The vehicle can carried a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander. Eight infantrymen can be seated at the rear of the hull on individual seats down each side of the hull facing inwards.

There is two doors on each side at the front of the vehicle. The infantry enter and leave the vehicle through a large hydraulically operated ramp at the rear of the hull. Each side of the troops compartment is fitted with three small bulletproof windows with firing port in the lower part.

The SOFRAME ARIVE vehicle offers protection against direct fire. It features protection against 7.62mm armour-piercing (AP) rounds, rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) rounds, land mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). It has a ballistic protection STANAG 4569 Level 2/2A.

The SOFRAME ARIVE is motorized with a Diesel engine developing 306 hp coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission. The ARIVE can run at a maximum road speed of 100 km/h and it has a fuel tank capacity of 220 liters.

The ARIVE is also available in different configurations to be used as armoured personnel carrier, command post and ambulance. The internal design of the vehicle can be easily configured according to the needs of the customers.

At Eurosatory 2016, the SOFRAME ARIVE was fitted with a remote weapon station deFNder® Medium from the Belgian Company FN Herstal armed with one 12.7mm heavy machine gun. The deFNder® Remote Weapon Stations provide optimized remote firing capability day and night while keeping the operator completely under armor protection.
