Eurosatory
is the most important event of Defence and Security exhibition in Europe.
With more than 1300 exhibitors from 54 countries, Eurosatory 2010 was
a very important edition for the land defense sector with a first time
presentation of 350 new products or weapons systems over the four days
of this event. This figure shows the importance of the defence exhibition
of Paris for the worldwide defence and security industry. Indeed, several
companies decided wait for this event to present their latest innovations
and technologies, taking account of the importance of this event and the
quality of its visitors and delegations coming from the entire world:
48% of international visitors were involved in procurement and 76% said
they were looking for new products and weapon systems. The equivalent
figures for French visitors were 24% and 72%.
Eurosatory was visited by an impressive number of decision makers and
by an increasing number of largely-staffed official delegations, familiar
with the exhibition and its product offerings, and preparing their visit
in advance. Heads of delegations assisted by experts, complementing the
official programmes with specifically targeted visits. 126 official delegations
from 74 countries, invited by the French Minister of Defence, comprising
496 VIPs, including 12 Ministers of Defence, 4 Secretaries of State for
Defence, 15 National Armaments Directors, 27 Armed Forces or Army Chiefs
of Staff.
With the entry of Internet in the defence sector, the Eurosatory exhibition
was also relayed by this worldwide network, opening a new window on the
world on the activities, the products and various offers and services
from the exhibitors present at this event.
For the first time in its history, Eurosatory was relayed on Internet
network by the company Army Recognition, which goal was to create an online
newspaper with the daily news of Eurosatory 2010, documented with photographs
and video reports.
For Eurosatory 2012, the online magazine for Defence & Security Industry
"Army Recognition" is the only official online Show News Daily
Eurosatory 2012.
The Army Recognition website it is an average of 20.000 visitors per day
and 8 million pages seen per month. During the Eurosatory Defence Exhibition
edition 2012, the online magazine of Defence & Security "Army
Recognition" and more particularly the “online show news daily
Eurosatory 2010” were visited by 30.641 people (average
per day), and more than 394.238 pages consulted
per day.
