DX Korea 2018: Hanwha Land Systems Ground-Based Weapons


Hanwha Land Systems is showcasing its solutions for land forces at the DX Korea 2018 defense exhibiton which opened its doors today at the Kintex exhibition center in Seoul, South Korea. Hanwha Land Systems entered the defense industry in 1983 and produced a ground-based weapons system that was pivotal to enhancing the combat power of the South Korea’s armed forces.

Hanwha Land Systems has also developed unmanned and automated solutions by leveraging its technological expertise in precision design and control. As we focus on the development of new, leading-edge products, such as tactical unmanned ground robots and remote-controlled weapon stations, we export our K9 Thunder, the world’s most advanced self-propelled howitzer, to countries all over the world including Turkey, Poland, Finland, India, and Norway. At DX Korea 2018, Hanwha Land Systems is showcasing its tactical unmanned ground vechile (UGV). The company has engineered the Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle, a sophisticated combat system for the battlefield of the future, all without a human operator to minimize the potential loss of life.

The K9 has been exported to Turkey, Poland, Finland, India, Norway and Estonia


The company is also showcasing the the K9 self propelled howitzer. It boasts excellent performance with a long shooting range for fire combat and a rapid firing speed for real time, quick focused fire power. The K9 is South Korea’s first ground weapon system that has been exported overseas.

Lightweight remote controlled weapon system (RCWS)


The company is also showcasing the Lightweight remote controlled weapon system (RCWS) : RCWS is a state of the art weapon system with remote capabilities. It is equipped with day/night detection and tracking, stabilization control, and remote shooting. This station is lightweight and can be mounted on tanks, armored vehicles, and small tactical vehicles.
