At DSEI 2015 Streit Group unveils its new Gladiator 4x4 APC armoured personnel carrier.
Streit Group unveils one new APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), the Gladiator at DSEI 2015 international defense exhibition which takes place in London (UK) from the 15 to 18 September 2015. Streit Group is one of the world’s leading, privately owned armored vehicles manufacturers with state of-the-art production facilities and Global offices worldwide.
     
     
The Gladiator is based on a 4x4 Renault truck chassis that provides high mobility in all-terrain conditions and high capacity of payload. The vehicle is motorized with a 6 Cylinders in-Line 7.2L Turbocharged DXi7 coupled to a ZF 6S 1000 TO transmission with 6 speeds.

The Gladiator is designed to perform a wide range of missions as peace keeping operations or convoy escort.

The layout of the vehicle is standard with the engine at the front, the crew in the middle and the troops compartment at the rear. The hull of the Gladiator provides a protection Level 2 STANAG 4569 (ballistic protection 7.62 x 39 API BZ at 30 meters with 695 m/s) and mine protection of 6 kg TNT.

The front part of the vehicle is fitted with two doors on each side with on small bulletproof window on the upper part. Bulletproof windows are provided for the front, sides and rear of the Gladiator and these provide the same degree of protection as the steel hull. The infantrymen enter and leave the Gladiator via a single door at the rear of the hull, which opens to the left.

The Gladiator can carry a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander. In option, the roof of the vehicle can be equipped with a full range of weapon system including RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station) armed with 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.
