R-187-P1E is a multimode VHF/UHF handheld tactical team radio with programmable security architecture, designed to enhance tactical communication capabilities for individual soldiers as well as squads, improving mission cohesiveness and operation effectiveness in diverse and climate-challenged combat environments.

The R-187-P1E radio has a two-channel wideban transceiver (27-520 MHz) and software based operating frequency setting. the breaktrough frequency hopping mechanism allow the device to function at an unparalleled 20.000 hops/s, enabling great adaptability to a variety of challenged electromagnetic environments. The radio supports a continuously expanding range of radio system standards and communication protocols aimed at transferring data over long distances at high speeds, allowing for a seamless integration with existing military communication network.

The R-187-P1E radio has a high resistance treshold to interference produced by modern as well as near-future electronic warfare technologies and provide noise resistant data transfer in temperatur ranging from -30 to +55 °C in all weather conditions with its IP67 certification. The high tech radio is contained within a compact yet durable cast aluminium case and coated in scratch-resistant paint, making it perfectly adapted for one hand use. The handheld radio has an interactive, easy-to-use interface and a full color bright LCD-display, providing intuitive handling and usability.
