Nurol Makina Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armored will be tested by Malaysian army


The Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armoured will be tested by the Malaysian army after DSA 2018. The Ejder Yalcin was presented by the Turkish Company Nurol Makina on the booth of the Malaysian Defense Company Deftech during the Defense and Security Exhibition DSA 2018 that was held in Kuala Lumpur from 16 to 19 April 2018.

The development of the Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armoured vehicle was started in 2012, and the prototype of the vehicle was unveiled during the defense exhibition IDEF in May 2013. The mass production of the vehicle began in May 2014. The Ejder Yalcin has need designed to be used for a full range of missions, including reconnaissance, command and control, and homeland security applications. The vehicle is now in service with Senegal and Qatar.

Under an agreement signed on October 27, 2017, Turkey and Uzbekistan will jointly produce the Ejder Yalcin. The Turkish Company Nurol Makina has also offered to produce the Ejder Yalcin in Romania.

The EJDER YALÇIN 4x4 Armored Combat Vehicle is a unique platform which combines high protection and mobility. It has been developed to meet the operational requirements of military units and security forces in every region including rural and urban areas. During the development of Ejder Yalcin, user's operational & ergonomic requirements were also considered and an ideal platform was created to operate more efficiently and more secure in the modern battlefield.

The Ejder Yalcin can carry a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander. The hull of the Edjder Yalcin is of all-welded steel armour construction that provides ballistic protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle is based on a monocoque structures with integrated v-shaped armoured hull that increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armor face.

The Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armoured vehicle can be fitted with different types of remote-controlled and manually-operated weapon stations according to customers requirements.

The Ejder Yalcin wheeled armoured is motorized with a Cummins Diesel engine developing 300 hp. at 3,100 rpm coupled to a fully automatic transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km with a maximum cruising range of 600 km.
