Weststar 4x4 GS Cargo the new 4x4 light tactical cargo and troop carrier vehicle of Malaysian army.
At DSA 2012, Defence Services Asia Exhibition, the Malaysian Company Weststar MAXUS shows the new 4x4 light tactical vehicle Weststar 4x4 GS Cargo delivered to the Malaysian Army. Currently 11 vehicles are already in service in the Malaysian Armed Forces.

The Malaysian Defence Minister is saying that the Weststar Group had been given the contract for new 4X4 vehicles for the Armed Forces. Weststar GSC 3/4 ton provides arm forces with vehicles that are designed to meet a wide range of security and defence roles.

The new Weststar 4x4 GS Cargo is based on a civilian Isuzu chassis. Weststar has designed and implemented a new suspension, a new bumper and fitted the rear of the vehicle to transport personnel or military equipment.

The Weststar 4x4 GS Cargo is a general utility cargo and low maintenance vehicle which is being supplied to the Malaysian Army on manual transmission. This 750 kg GS Cargo is is also available in automatic transmission, hardtop or soft top for transportation of cargo and personnel as well as other specific land base applications.The generous volume capacity of the Weststar 4x4 GS Cargo can carry up to ten soldiers with full gear.

The 3.0 litre engine vehicle operates either on road or cross country operations, offers a robust operational flexibility, mobility and is air transportable.
